Isaac
We aren't real sure yet what happened to Isaac but he is full of small puncture holes and has a huge, swollen wound on his shoulder.  He may have been shot, dragged by a car, used as bait in a dog fight...  He is currently on antibiotics and in a couple of days will have surgery to find out what is causing the severe swelling and to fix the problem.  Here is how Isaac came into rescue:
A kind lady was on her way to work one morning when she noticed an emaciated and dirty little pit bull running right up a very busy street.  She pulled over, got out of her car, and Isaac ran right up to her.  How could she leave him?  He would be hit by a car.  So not knowing what else to do, she put Isaac in her car and drove to work.  She found a shady spot to park the car in and left the windows open.  It was a cool day so she felt Isaac would be OK.  She checked on him frequently and brought him drinks of water and food.  He was very well behaved in the car all day and did not make a mess.  She contacted Friends of Linden Animal Shelter for advice as she lives in an apartment and did not know what to do with Isaac.  We had no vacant foster homes for Isaac but agreed to meet the lady at our veterinarian's office.  Well, to meet Isaac is to love Isaac.  He is an absolute sweetheart.  So I made room for one more foster dog.  Isaac is so well behaved that he isn't a problem at all.  He had a bath with antiseptic shampoo to cleanse his wounds and now looks very handsome and smells great.  He is eating well and will be started on a weight gain diet in addition to premium puppy food to get some weight back on him.  Isaac has already had visitors bringing him toys and everyone who meets him just loves him.  He likes to snuggle up in laps and lean.  He is just a big baby!
UPDATE:
On Isaac's second day in foster care, while attempting to change his bandages, his shoulder started bleeding profusely.  Isaac was rushed to the veterinary hospital.  His condition was deteriorating rapidly in the car.  It was decided that treatment would mean drainage tubes inserted in his shoulder for 1 - 2 months, daily flushing and crate confinement during that time and long term effects from extensive scar tissue that had already formed on his shoulder and could not be surgically removed.  To spare this poor boy any further trauma, the difficult decision was made to let him go and release him from his pain and suffering.  Isaac went to sleep very peacefully.  He did not leave us unloved.  Everyone who met him in the short day he was in my care grew to love him.  Good bye sweet Isaac, rest in peace.
