ROSIE WAS ADOPTED DECEMBER 2, 2000

Rosie is the sweetest and calmest little dog.  She does get spunky and runs around and plays but there is no hyperactivity in it.  The first night out of the shelter and in her foster home, she was so grateful to have a soft, warm bed to sleep on instead of the cold, hard shelter floor.

She is about 5 years old and has the maturity to know not to chew things and to go outside when needed.  She gets along great with other dogs and cats.

We had no idea how thin Rosie was until we bathed her.  She is painfully skinny at 17.5 pounds and is working on putting on some weight.

The vet detected a grade 1-2 heart murmur which is not serious at all and will not affect her longetivity.  It just means that she should not run marathons or hike the Grand Canyon.  Moderate exercise would be fine for her.  The heart murmur could even be a result of her teeth needing to be cleaned.  Two veterinarians gave us the exact same diagnosis.

If Rosie is adopted before she has put on enough weight to be spayed and have her teeth cleaned, we will have her new family return her to our vet when she is ready and the procedures will be paid for by us.
